Conor Geekie stands by his word that Arizona’s heat was something he looked forward to when he was drafted by the Coyotes earlier this month.
In the heat of July, the Manitoba native set foot in Arizona and wasn’t deterred by the scorching heat. He embraced it quickly and raised some eyebrows in the process.
“I love it, I’m pumped. I love going outside and I even walked to the mall the other day and I know some people think that’s a little crazy, but it was a lot of fun and I’m enjoying myself here,” Geekie said.
