Connor McDavid dominates as Coyotes' offense continues to slump vs. Oilers

If the Coyotes could face any player to remind them of their detrimental issues in the goal-scoring department, they got just that opportunity in Wednesday’s 3-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers at Gila River Arena.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid tallied two goals (one empty-netter) and an assist to snap Edmonton’s six-game losing streak at Arizona’s expense.

The Coyotes have now scored two or fewer goals in more than half of their games this season, doing so in 21 of 40 contests.

“We had a few chances to score and we had the extra man at the end,” Coyotes head coach Rick Tocchet said after the game.
