The Coyotes couldn’t have picked a better time to get their first home win of the season.
Sure, they would have liked to do it sooner than their seventh game at Gila River Arena — before this season, they had never gone more than three games without a win at home — but head coach Rick Tocchet and his troops will gladly take it.
Their win Saturday over the Hurricanes came at an important time for the Coyotes (2-12-1), as the team is set to embark on a three-game road trip in which they will face three teams with winning records.
