With Coyotes training camp now approaching the two-week mark, several players have made good impressions on head coach Rick Tocchet and his staff as they try to earn a spot on the roster.
Here are five players who have stood out during camp thus far:
1. Jordan Oesterle, defense
Jordan Oesterle is tied for third in NHL preseason scoring with 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists). He is also tied with Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Jaccob Slavin (Carolina Hurricanes) for the scoring lead among defenseman.
After coming to Arizona, along with Vinnie Hinostroza, in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks this offseason, Oesterle came to camp just trying to earn a spot on the roster.
