The Coyotes will retire Shane Doan’s No. 19 jersey in a Feb. 24 against the Winnipeg Jets at Gila River Arena next season.
Doan’s number will be the fourth retired by the Coyotes in team history, joining Keith Tkachuk (No. 7), Teppo Numminen (No. 27) and Jeremy Roenick (No. 97).
“Shane Doan is Mr. Coyote and a Valley icon,” Coyotes President & CEO Ahron Cohen said in a release. “No one has done more for the Coyotes or the game of hockey in Arizona than Shane.
"For the past 22 years, Shane has been an incredible ambassador for our franchise and has represented the Coyotes with class, dignity and professionalism.
