Arizona Coyotes sign Jack McBain to two-year entry-level contract

When Jack McBain takes the ice, he makes his presence known right away.

With great size at 6'4" and 211 pounds, the center at Boston College was a coveted find with his ability to jump in front of the net and play a skilled role.

McBain had everything Arizona Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong wanted in a power forward, but there was one catch: his rights were owned by the Minnesota Wild. The 22-year-old was the Wild’s third round (63rd overall) pick in the 2018 draft while he was playing for his hometown Toronto Junior Canadiens.

Once he became available to other NHL teams after informing the Wild he would not sign with them, Armstrong knew what his next move was.
