Arizona Coyotes select five players on second day of NHL Draft

The Arizona Coyotes had to wait a day to make selections, but they landed five prospects in the NHL Draft’s final day Wednesday.

The Coyotes, after sitting out the first round Tuesday and not making a move to get into the second or third rounds Wednesday morning, announced their first pick a little more than four hours into the day.

The club started by selecting 18-year-old defenseman Mitchell Miller of Sylvania, Ohio in the fourth round. The right-handed shooter played for the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League this past season.

Miller, who is waiting on when he can start his college hockey career at North Dakota, scored eight goals with 25 assists in 44 games with Tri-City last season.
