Arizona Coyotes rout playoff-hopeful St. Louis Blues in largest win of season

The St. Louis Blues are playing for their lives. Entering play Saturday, the team had notched points in seven straight games and in nine of its last 11.

But on Saturday, they suffered a 6-0 defeat to the Arizona Coyotes at Gila River Arena. It was the largest margin of victory in a game for the Coyotes this season. It was the worst loss of the season for playoff-hopeful St. Louis.

Their six-goal margin of victory was the largest in a shutout for the Coyotes since January 2014.

Four defenseman scored and Antti Raanta posted a 34-save shutout as the Coyotes prevented the Blues from breaking a virtual tie with the Colorado Avalanche for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference playoff picture.
