Arizona Coyotes not counting moral victories in overtime loss to Vegas Golden Knights

In a game almost too similar to Saturday’s gut-wrenching loss to the Boston Bruins, the Coyotes didn’t suffer quite as bad a result against the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday. But they still didn’t do enough for two points.

After scoring the first goal of the game and then allowing the next two, the Coyotes fought back from a one-goal deficit to tie the game in the third period and force overtime. However, Golden Knights forward Max Pacioretty scored his second goal of the game in the extra period to clinch the extra point for Vegas.

Considering the Coyotes had a similar chance to tie Saturday’s game and — despite being the better team for the majority of the game — couldn’t put the puck in the net, perhaps the Coyotes would let their hair down a bit after the game knowing they at least got one point out of it.
