Before Tuesday’s game against the Panthers, Coyotes head coach Rick Tocchet said he wanted his team to play a “playoff game” in one of their final three games of this homestand.
And it went that way for about the first period and a half until the Coyotes allowed three unanswered goals in a span of 5:52 and suffered their seventh consecutive loss in a 3-2 defeat to the Panthers on Tuesday at Gila River Arena.
“It’s really disappointing for me,” Tocchet said. “I’m kind of embarrassed for the fans because we had this game and we gave it to (Florida).
