The Coyotes came out firing on Saturday and defeated the Colorado Avalanche by a 3-0 score at Gila River Arena.
The Coyotes (8-4-1) have won three of their last four and seven of their last nine.
Coyotes winger Phil Kessel tallied a goal and assist in the win. The goal, which came off a spectacular feed from rookie and new linemate Barrett Hayton, was Kessel's first at even-strength this season.
Kessel also factored into the Coyotes' first goal of the game, a Christian Dvorak tally on the power play at 6:40 of the first period.
