The Pittsburgh Penguins picked up a 4-3 win over the Coyotes via shootout on Sunday at Gila River Arena.
The Penguins struck first when forward Jared MccCann potted his 13th of the season on the power play at 2:43, putting the Coyotes in an early hole.
But it was the ever-reliable Conor Garland who scored the Coyotes' first goal in three games at 14:23 of the first period. Coyotes winger Taylor Hall retrieved a puck behind the net and dished a quick feed to Garland, who beat his check to the net for a one-timer that beat Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry.
