In their final game before a four-day holiday break, the Coyotes couldn't complete a comeback against the Nashville Predators, dropping a 3-2 decision on Monday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
The Coyotes played loose for much of the game, allowing the Predators to accumulate 35 shots on goaltender Antti Raanta, playing his second game in as many days, in just two periods.
The Predators struck first when Filip Forsberg beat Raanta at 18:08 of the first period, and Nashville took a commanding 2-0 lead when Viktor Arvidsson scored off a funky rebound at 7:53 of the second.
