The Coyotes were primed for a change in net ever since they traded their former No. 1 Mike Smith to the Flames in June at the beginning of their roster flip.
But the goalie currently manning the crease two weeks into the season isn’t the netminder Arizona tabbed to replace Smith nor the team’s regular backup.
It’s rookie Adin Hill.
“Every minute I get, I’ll be happy with,” Hill said. “I’m happy to be here. It’s the NHL.”
Hill made his NHL debut Tuesday, snagging 31 saves on 33 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Stars in Dallas.
