Andrew Chafin, otherwise known as "The Sheriff," signed a one-year, $4.75 million contract with the Detroit Tigers after a roller-coaster 2023 season.
Known for his unique personality, Chafin has found it quite easy to become a fan favorite, no matter which team he is on. This was particularly the case for the Diamondbacks.
Originally drafted in the 1st round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chafin spent 6.5 seasons with the team before embarking on a whirlwind adventure that saw him don jerseys from five different teams in three years.
This journey started once he was traded by the Diamondbacks to the Cubs in 2020.
