An introductory press conference over Zoom was once unusual, but defensive end Jordan Phillips has had to do weirder things. Eight days ago, his fiancée, Lauren Gray, gave birth to their daughter, Maya V. Phillips (MVP), during the coronavirus outbreak. While Phillips is excited for his new chapter with the Cardinals, the last few days have revolved around Maya.
"That's my first priority is making sure she's safe," he said on Monday's call. "Making sure she's safe, making sure my fiancée's safe, and so it's kind of a hectic time.
