It’s unknown if the Cardinals had any interest in acquiring former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo this year, but they sure did in 2003, according to mmqb.com.
Romo told writer Peter King the Cardinals offered the highest signing bonus -- $20,000-$25,000 – when Romo went undrafted out of Eastern Illinois in 2003.
It sounds as if Romo never seriously considered the Cardinals.
His decision came down to either going to Denver and playing for Mike Shanahan or to Dallas to play for Bill Parcells and Sean Payton, an assistant there.
