Make no mistake: 'Messing up' is helping Cardinals' Hopkins and Murray find perfection

It’s not something you usually hear, but according to DeAndre Hopkins, the worse he and quarterback Kyler Murray performed in practice last year, the more the two and the Cardinals as a whole improved as an offense.

“I would say Kyler and I get better when we mess up, not when things go good, but the plays we miss in practice,” Hopkins said Wednesday during a video conference before the team wrapped up its mandatory, three-day mini-camp on Thursday. “We’re able to talk about it and him being him, he wants to be perfect.

“That’s how I see us being better, is not by being perfect in practice, but messing up and us being able to get on each other and talk about it so we can go out and help this team be successful.
