Kyler Murray left the game early with a right ankle injury and he wouldn’t return until the fourth quarter, but his comeback attempt couldn’t lift the Cardinals, who fell to the Rams 18-7 and lost their last chance to make the playoffs.
With a victory, the Cardinals would have improved to 9-7 and claimed the No. 6 or 7 playoff seed in the NFC. Instead, they finished 8-8 and their season is now over.
