Kingsbury finds play-calling rhythm sooner in Cards opener; Streveler backup quarterback for now

Last year, when Kliff Kingsbury took the podium after his first game as the Cardinals head coach, a 27-27 tie at home to the Lions, he gave some insight to the specific challenges of Week 1.

"I did a poor job early of trying to be too cute and over creative," he said at the time. "Sometimes when you have all summer to draw stuff up, you can kind of get out of your comfort zone, and I think it affected our quarterback (Kyler Murray) early. I wasn’t getting him into a rhythm."

Two questions later, he added "It was three quarters of the worst offense I’ve ever seen in my life.
