It’s been 52 days since the Cardinals began testing their players for COVID-19 and through Thursday, they remain one of only a small handful of NFL teams that haven’t had a single positive test.
No one could have predicted they’d be this successful in fending off the pandemic, though, and that included Jordan Phillips, the Cardinals’ hulking new defensive tackle.
At 6 feet, 6 inches and 341 pounds, Phillips is in the high-risk category for the coronavirus and during a recent video conference call with reporters, he revealed he seriously contemplated opting out of the 2020 season.
