As a legendary funny man once said, you know you’re getting old when the candles cost more than your birthday cake. If the Cardinals have any plans to celebrate the birthdays of placekicker Phil Dawson and punter Andy Lee, whom they signed to a two-year, free-agent contract on Monday, they’re going to need a ton of wax.
Dawson turns 43 in January. Lee turned 35 last month.
“I think Sunset Acres should sponsor the special teams unit,” Dawson joked. “No, we’re both pros, we know what our jobs are, we know what our role is on the team and so we’re going to get out there and do it.
