In a short window, the Cardinals' depth at safety has become very thin.
Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury said on Monday that the team is still working through safety Chris Banjo's hamstring injury. He is day to day right now with an injury incurred during Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Lions.
Safety Jalen Thompson is on injured reserve, and Budda Baker will miss some time as he recovers from thumb surgery. Kingsbury did not set an exact timetable for the standout safety's return.
"We'll see how the procedure goes, and kind of take it from there," Kingsbury said about Baker.
