It was the first scare of training camp, but from early reports, it should be nothing.
In Thursday’s padded training camp, the most physical of the Steve Wilks era, linebacker Deone Bucannon took a helmet to the knee trying to avoid a sliding Brice Butler:
Scary moment: Bucannon’s left knee collides with the helmet of Brice Butler in red-zone work; Bucannon goes down but gets up and walks it off w/trainer Tom Reed by his side#CardsCamp

It was brushed off as not a big deal, but at today’s closed practice session, Bucannon was not a participant:
Don’t see Bucannon, who took a Brice Butler helmet to his left knee in practice yesterday; Bethea, Peters and Smith practicing after vet days off Thursday#CardsCamp

That of course would be the first question that needed addressing when Steve Wilks stepped up to the podium after the team finished practice today.
