SEATTLE – If the Cardinals had a better record, outside linebacker Chandler Jones would be in the middle of the discussion for Defensive Player of the Year.
But since his team is 5-9-1, Jones is on the outside. He shouldn’t be.
Jones was a devastating force in the Cardinals' 27-13 victory over Seattle on Saturday. He finished with four sacks and two forced fumbles. He now leads the NFL in sacks, with 19, and in forced fumbles, with 8.
With 19 sacks, he broke his old record of 16, and he needs 2½ sacks against the Rams next week to tie Michael Strahan’s NFL record.
