There are several reasons to think Cardinals pass rusher Chandler Jones will have a monstrous season resembling 2017, when he led the NFL with 17 sacks.
A change in defensive scheme. A new locker-room neighbor. A personal affront. Youth. And stale Debbie Snack Cakes in a kitchen cabinet.
After bulking up to 280 pounds last year to play defensive end in Steve Wilks’ 4-3 scheme, Jones has shed 15 pounds as he moves back to outside linebacker in the 3-4 implemented by new defensive coordinator Vance Joseph.
By the start of the regular season, Jones plans to weigh around 255.
