If the Cardinals had one that worked, perhaps they would have traveled back some 16 months and decided against drafting three wide receivers in 2019. That way, they could have waited for this year’s draft, which was one of the deepest in history for wide receivers.
Some folks, like ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr., are convinced it will go down as the best receiver draft class ever. And who can blame him? Six wide receivers went in the first round this year, after all, and seven more were selected in the second round.
