Cardinals under pressure to rush quarterbacks

The most violent blows Landry Jones absorbed last Sunday came via pats on the back after the third-team quarterback led the Steelers to victory over the Cardinals.

During the game, Jones was barely touched, highlighting a consistent problem this season for the Cardinals: pressuring the quarterback.

Jones entered the game in the third quarter and completed 8 of 12 passes for 168 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. It was almost like watching a practice session in which defenders aren’t allowed near the quarterback.

The Cardinals rushed four and couldn’t get there. Blitzing didn’t work either.
