When the calendar hits mid-November and the weather has turned, it usually means in the NFL the stakes just got quite a bit higher. Unless, of course, you happen to be either one of the teams who will be playing at State Farm Stadium on Sunday.
The Cardinals (2-7) and Raiders (1-8) aren’t fighting for a chance at the playoffs. Those thoughts evaporated a long time ago. If anything, it’s been said these two teams are battling it out for draft positioning as they look ahead to possible better times in 2019 and beyond.
According to Cardinals coach Steve Wilks, that’s the furthest thing from his mind.
