GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Arizona Cardinals were routed by the San Francisco 49ers over the weekend; there was not much to be happy about — especially after they were penalized a franchise-record 17 times.
However, a pair of Cardinals reached personal milestones, while one also secured himself an NFL record.
The big record breaker came from quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who completed an NFL-record 47 passes while also throwing for a career-high 452 passing yards. The 32-year-old journeyman also threw for a pair of touchdowns, with as many interceptions. He finished the day with a passer rating of 96.
