Cardinals chairman Bidwill, 'a bruising runner,' inducted into high school's hall of fame

Cardinals chairman Bill Bidwill had a high school career that would make current coach Bruce Arians and star running back David Johnson proud.

Bidwill, 85, described as a "fierce and humble competitor" on the football field, was selected for induction to the most recent class of the Georgetown Prep Athletic Hall of Fame.

A 1949 graduate of the school that is located outside of Washington, D.C., Bidwill was a two-sport athlete for the Little Hoyas football and baseball teams.

As a senior, he was a star fullback and kicker on Georgetown Prep’s undefeated 1948 football squad that won the city championship.
