They came, they stretched, they practiced – without pads – and they brought the type of energy and sense of urgency that nearly made their second-year head coach blush.
It couldn’t have gone much better for the Cardinals on Wednesday. The team finally hit the practice field and kicked training camp into high gear at State Farm Stadium by ratcheting things up beyond the same old series of walk-throughs and tedious virtual meetings.
They got after it, according to coach Kliff Kingsbury.
“More than anything, guys were just excited to be out there and going full speed,” Kingsbury said afterward, during a video conference call with Arizona reporters.
