The NFL’s new league year officially arrived on Wednesday and the Cardinals – sort of – confirmed they have, indeed, acquired star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in a trade from the Houston Texans.
The league sent a memo to all teams on Tuesday, informing clubs they can’t actually make any official announcements regarding newly-acquired players until those players passed physicals, which are getting pushed back because of the coronavirus situation.
Nevertheless, the Cardinals, like most teams, are at least getting the word out by citing media reports as to their acquisitions.
