The Arizona Cardinals continue to wait on running back Trey Benson and when he will officially be assigned to the active roster. On Tuesday, the team made a move at the position, but it wasn’t the activation of Benson. Instead, the team brought in a running back who isn’t well-known at all.
General manager Monti Ossenfort signed 23-year-old Corey Kiner off the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad, adding depth at the position. Signed in April by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent, Kiner was waived by them two months later after signing. His next opportunity was with the Minnesota Vikings, where he has been since September, before coming to Arizona.
