The best thing that could happen to Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen would be if the Cardinals don’t need a successor to offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich for a few years.
Rosen had three different coordinators in three seasons at UCLA. Halfway through his rookie NFL season, Rosen is on his second, Leftwich, who took over when Mike McCoy was fired last week.
“If someone comes after me, it’s a concern,” Leftwich said Thursday, laughing, “because that would be three.”
Jokes aside, instability and ineffectiveness at the coordinator’s position is nearly as damaging to young quarterbacks as poor protection.
