Bill Bidwill has been inducted into the Georgetown Prep Athletic Hall of Fame.
The Cardinals’ owner, a 1949 graduate of the school located outside Washington D.C., was a two-sport athlete in football and baseball. He was a star fullback and kicker as a senior, helping lead the 1948 football team to an undefeated season and the city championship. Bidwill led the Little Hoyas in scoring in both his junior and senior seasons.
Bidwill returned to Georgetown Prep last week and on May 31 was given his Hall of Fame medallion by school president Rev. Scott R. Pilarz, S.
