Big Mama–A.K.A JoAnne Carner, does not let age determine her game. At 84-years-old, the Arizona State University alum is known for breaking barriers in women’s golf and the LPGA.
Carner has been making headlines in the U.S. Senior Women’s Open for shooting rounds of her age or lower. On Thursday, she added to her success when she shot an 80 at Waverly Country Club in Portland, Oregon.
“It felt good,” Carner said. “I’ve been practicing a lot and really kind of spinning my wheels.”
Not only was Carner keeping up with the course, she was beating it on some holes.
