On their first two possessions, the Cardinals appeared to have cured what ailed them in the first two weeks of the season. They drove 75 yards for a touchdown. The score came on a nicely designed play that included three tight ends in the formation. Ricky Seals-Jones was left open and scored from 35 yards out, the Cardinals' longest play of the year. They followed that with another touchdown, which came after a fumble recovery. This, too, was a well-designed play that got running back David Johnson matched against inside linebacker Danny Trevathan.
