DENVER — He’s seen them come and he’s seen them go over the course of his 16-year career in the NFL and Larry Fitzgerald can remember every single one of their faces and names. He’s like that, you know, the star wide receiver for the Cardinals with the uncanny photographic memory.
It might not be instant recall anymore for Fitzgerald, who turns 36 on Saturday, but give him a couple minutes and he can recite and recollect all of the many, many teammates he’s had since joining the franchise as a first-round pick in 2004.
And not just the ones who have stuck around, either, but those who were only on the team for parts of training camp and the preseason, like many of those who will be given their release and be told to move on following Thursday night’s finale preseason game against the Broncos.
