The Arizona Cardinals have not made any official announcements as of yet, however by 1:00 p.m. this afternoon, all of them will have been made. The Cardinals started waiving players on Friday according to reports.
One of the biggest names cut is running back Kerwynn Williams. As I’ve been saying all camp, he was fighting a numbers game. With David Johnson, Chris Johnson, and Andre Ellington on the roster and then Stepfan Taylor as the fourth running back who is good on special teams, the writing was on the wall.
Hopefully Williams finds a job quickly. Another running back, Elijhaa Penny, who rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown in Thursday night’s preseason finale, is a fan favorite.
