The Cardinals released 15 players and waived another one due to injury on Saturday to reduce their roster to the required 53-man limit.
Among some of the more notable names cut were veteran running back D.J. Foster, rookie inside linebacker Evan Weaver, the club’s sixth-round pick out of Cal, along with cornerbacks Ken Crawley, Chris Jones and Jace Whittaker.
Also released were defensive linemen Jonathan Bullard and Trevor Coley, wide receivers JoJo Ward, A.J. Richardson and Andre Patton, running back Jonathan Ward, safety Kentrell Brice, tight end Dylan Cantrell, offensive lineman Koda Martin and linebacker Reggie Walker.
