It could happen sooner than you think, according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who tweeted on Monday that Peterson has asked the Cardinals to trade him by the NFL’s trade deadline next Tuesday. Citing league sources, Schefter said that “Peterson feels as if the situation is deteriorating and continues to reaffirm to others that he ‘desperately’ wants out.
