When the Cardinals began their search for a coach nearly three weeks ago, team President Michael Bidwill vowed that he would operate on one timetable – his – and didn’t feel pressured by other teams needing a coach.
And that’s how it played out.
The Titans announced they hired Texans defensive coordinator Mike Vrabel as head coach. They are the sixth team to select a new coach, leaving the Cardinals’ job as the only one open.
That also was the case five years ago when the Cardinals were the last of seven teams to hire a coach.
