When Markus Golden is in the lineup ready to be a disruptor and menacing pass rusher on the edge, he’s a dangerous, high-energy defender capable of altering games in the Cardinals’ favor. The problem, of course, is that he’s not in Arizona’s lineup at the moment as he continues to recover from surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee.
The Cardinals are covered at right defensive end, as the NFL’s reigning sacks leader, Chandler Jones, returns to fully man his spot among the starting front four. But with Golden having both his good days and bad days during his difficult journey back, there is a glaring hole that needs to be filled at left end.
