WTRK Sit 5th After Day 2 in Arlington

ARLINGTON, TEXAS - Appalachian State University women's track and field sit fifth with 40 team points, qualified four Mountaineers in four events and grabbed the silver and bronze medal in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase on Day 2 of the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Arlington, Texas on Saturday.

In the short sprints, Darlene Girardeau and LaBria King both qualified for the 100-meter and 200-meter finals. In the 100 meters, Girardeau blazed across the finish line with a seasonal best of 11.80 and King ran the seventh-fastest time of 12.
