BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University wrestling has faced and conquered two out of three nationally ranked programs so far this season and will have one more opportunity on Tuesday, Dec. 20 when it travels to face No. 5 Missouri in Columbia at 3 p.m. ET at the Hearnes Center.

The 21st-ranked Mountaineers (7-1, 3-0 Southern Conference) will be carrying a lot of momentum into Tuesday’s tilt, having won 11 of its last 13 matches going back to last season and only losing once thus far to then-No. 9 NC State. Tuesday’s match will be the fourth nationally ranked opponent App State has faced with the team currently owning a 2-1 record against the first three (Oregon State, North Carolina, NC State).
