BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Competing in the NWCA National Duals Championship Duals for the first time, Appalachian State University wrestling topped Indiana, 21-13, on Sunday in University Gymnasium in its final dual match of the season. The Mountaineers (12-4, 6-1 SoCon) won the final three matches of the afternoon to complete their come-from-behind victory of the Hoosiers (6-7, 3-6 Big Ten).
“I’m so proud of this team and how they fought when our backs were against the wall,” said head coach JohnMark Bentley. “This is a very big statement for our program, athletics department, and university.
