KNOXVILLE, Tenn. –– Appalachian State University men's track and field wrapped up the Tennessee Challenge on Saturday.
The Mountaineers posted three top-10 finishes on the day and will now make preparations for the Sun Belt Conference Championships beginning on May 12 and extending through May 14.
Sarah Venable finished 11th in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:03.09. In the hammer throw, Samantha Welborn placed sixth with a throw of 154-8.00.
Welborn took fourth in the javelin with a distance of 105-7.00, while Jessica Ricks finished fifth with a throw of 90-3.
