Boone, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's track and field was the host school for the Mountaineer Open on Saturday and sure acted like it by winning 14 events with both first and second place in 11 of them.
Inside Varsity Gym, India McWhorter won the weight throw (59-7), Brianna Tate the shot put (46-3.25), Hunter Welborn the high jump (5-7), and Taylor Drummonds the pole vault (12-0).
The Black and Gold continued to put on a clinic when it came to the running events inside the Holmes Center.
