BOONE, N.C. - In its final meet before the Sun Belt Indoor Championships, Appalachian State University women's track and field hosted the App State Pre-Conference Open in both Varsity Gym and the Holmes Center on Friday. The Mountaineers won five events and placed in the top three a total of 12 times.
App State took first in the shot put with Ashley Muschiatti (43-10), the high jump with Makaila Roberts (4-9.50), the pole vault with Lainey Hunnicutt (11-0.25), the mile with Christina Shearon 5:25.
